Pocono Raceway

Here is a quick update from the action at the Nascar races. On Saturday, the 5th of June 2010, Brad Keselowski won the nationwide race in Nashville. Keselowski gave the credit of his win to his flight that directly landed at Pocono on Friday. The flight arrived early enough to enable him to take part in practice races that were held on Friday. He stated that the practice runs on Friday made his victory possible.

This season hosted the third victory for Brad Keselowski. Thus he leads the championship by 196 points over Kyle Busch. Though the driver is still on the second place in the championship but he will no longer participate in the 2010 series. Instead he would focus his energies on the Sprint Cup only.

The Penske driver, Brad Keselowski led 97 cars for around 225 laps of the race, beating Carl Edwards by 1.67. Edwards finished his race at the second position. He was still pleased with this second position in Nashville.

Paul Menard, another Sprint Cup driver finished at the third spot. This weekend several drivers were at the round trip between Pocono and Nashville to take part in both the races. The 700 miles separating the two tracks meant a lot of travelling for the drivers. Drivers were very lucky as they were getting paid for two races over the same weekend.

Carl Edwards stated that he had a good fight with Brad. He added that the race was very fast and he had a very good race. Furthermore he commented that he remained very close to a victory.
