Chris Daughtry on American idol

America Idol’s episode on 12th of May was rocked by the performance of Chris Draughtry. Chris Draughtry who himself was an American Idol contestant in 2006 was seen for the first time after four years on the American Idol stage. Christy Draughtry is now the lead singer of the band Draughtry. He is one of the few lucky American Idol contestants who rose to the peak of their fame as rock stars. Chris’s performance on American idol was based on his September. Chris with his song revived the old memories of his performances at the American Idol but this time he was there to honor the show with his song as special guest.

When in May of 2006 Chris got eliminated from American Idol he was lucky enough to have been offered a deal from RCA Records for his own record which brought him real fame and money. One million copies were sold of his first released album just within five weeks of the release. His song “It’s Not Over” was also nominated for Best Rock Song at the 50th Grammy Awards.

In the latest episode of American Idol Michael Lynche got voted off. His choice of song for the performance was Will You be There. Unlucky for him the song did not work for him. However, he faced his elimination with great spirit. The final three contestants of the episode are Lee Dewyze, Casey James, and Crystal Bowersox. The best performance of this week in my opinion was by Crystal Bowersox.
