World Cup 2010 is all set to start on June 11 and teams are arriving in South Africa to participate in the mega event. South Korea is the latest team to arrive in Johannesburg on Saturday and they are confident to perform their best in this year’s event. South Korea’s World Cup squad has number of young and talented players who are able to display best football against big teams. South Korea will play against Greece on June 12 in their opening World Cup match and then they have to battle hard against Argentina on June 17. South Korea will face Nigeria in the last group match on June 23. These matches are not easy by any means and South Korea needs to show great performance in each department of the game to qualify from the group stages.

Guus Hiddink was the coach of South Korea in 2002 and they managed to book a place in the semifinals. The road was not easy at that time either as they beat Portugal in the group stages then earned memorable victories over Italy and Spain to reach in the last four of the World Cup 2002. However, South Korea was not able to win a recently played friendly match but coach Huh Jung-moo is not disappointed with the 1-0 loss against Spain. Huh Jung-moo says it is time to look forward for the group stage encounters and his team will play best football to make it through the next stage of the mega event. South Korea’s captain Park Ji-sung is declared fit to play against Greece.
