Activists for the African American community in the United States of America have come in all sizes and shapes but Lena Horne redefined the standards because, as stunning as she might have been during the days she lived on this planet, looks did not matter to her at all ; it was all about getting the record straight and letting members of her race being allowed to integrate with the rest of the society with dignity and respect.
